Had a great (fully gluten free) delicious dinner. I had the traditional pot with meat. This was the best meal I had in Japan! You should certainly come here for the food and the great host who speaks English very well and is very compassionate about organic farming:)

Simple non lavish location..But.. amazing food and hospitality! The owner/chef operates his own farm together with his wife and kids and also works the kitchen to serve fantastic food.We had the beef sukiyaki and burger (50% wild deer and 50% wild boar meat) - was simply amazing. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy place with great food!

I am from Argentina where the meat is excellent, I traveled to other countries where I ate good hamburgers, but I never imagined that I was going to eat the best hamburger of my life in Japan.Satoshi's friendliness is incredible, not to mention his delicious food with his organic products from his farm.Don't really stop going which is the best experience.

Amazing experience all around! The food was excellent and the chef (who grew all the vegetables at his farm) was a delight. Couldn't have asked for a better meal! Would recommend to everyone who can get a seat at this small, but stupendous restaurant.

One of the most pleasant suprising experiences we have ever had in all our travels. The food was great and vegetarian friendly. And the chef/owner of the restaurant is simply amazing. this is a lovely cozy "farm to plate" restaurant which serves 6 customers at a time only. ingredients are freshly delivered from chef's own farm daily. food r delicious with local sake.

Simple food, was tasty, but nothing exceptional, and we found it overpriced for what you get. We were looking for a vegetarian meal, and tried both available options. I would not come back and wouldn't particularly recommend it.

If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would. Six of us showed up (and he only has 6 seats) and we had a wonderful meal and conversation. The owner/chef has such passion for his food and presentation. He grows much of what he cooks on his local organic farm (it was mushroom season when we were there ...mmmm ) and told us all about the area. It was an amazing evening.

Amazing gem of a place! The food is incredible (all organic and grown by the owner) and we had the best beef sukiyaki EVER! Only 4 seats so be there or be square. Worth a visit to Takayama just for this!!

What a fun and unique place. The owner is so friendly and open to chatting in English. He grows all the produce himself and has two vegan options He even offers a gluten free cake! The best Japanese curry I’ve had in japan. Highly recommend for vegans and non vegans alike! The appetizer was also vegan and very delicious. Only downside was the ¥500 cover charge though it technically covered the soup.

Good concept : from farm to the plate. Products are good indeed. However, you get a 500 yens as a compulsory starter, even if you don't want it. I took the burger. It was decent. Meat really good. Bread a bit old. You have to pay more to have a side. Overall 2500 yens for a 🔠and a compulsory starter is a bit pricey. I was still hungry when I got out😞The products are good, but pricy for the quantity you get!

A small and quaint (6 seater) restaurant which is a must visit. The experience is unparallel and the food is insanely fresh and tasty. The owner is friendly and his dedication to his restaurant is amicable; he lives a hour and half away!Words can't describe the experience and thank you for having us. We would definitely come back and recommend tour restaurant to our friends and family.
